Progressions
“Stay within your progression..” This is something I regularly speak to during our training sessions, and the principle itself, can be applied to most facets of life when you really break it down.
It’s a piece of advice that can be applied to the person who just started training (welcome!) and those of us who train each and every day. (Keep chipping)
Staying within your progressions is smart. It allows room for education and understanding.
It’ll keep you safe in a new or unfamiliar environment.
It’ll keep you productively moving forward instead of surging forward only to get pulled back.
It’ll also gives you (in real) time to learn the movements, to learn the cadence to balancing training and life, and to learn some strategies to take with you along the way.
It’s a conversation of (self) awareness really. Are you in position to get better? It’s important to remember that progressions, and the awareness of where you’re at within yours, is actually a strategy that should lead you to strength.
Little upon a little adds up to a lot, once you find your system, you don’t have to do more you just have to do it again.
